Felt good to get some practice designs out ☺️ and because I used laminated practice sheets I was able to scrape or lift the dried henna off. Even though the dried paste was very delicate some parts of it remained in tact.
Once all the dried bits were scraped off I placed them in a planter 🌿 Now every time I pass by it I can smell the essential oils used in the paste 😍
Placing the dried henna in a garden was peaceful...as if the henna came full circle 🙏🏽 .

I know my fellow #mompreneurs will feel this one! Sneaking in a little design time while I snuggle. Multitasking at its best!

Moms it is so important to keep taking time for yourself. I have to constantly remind myself that the laundry doesn’t have to be done RIGHT NOW and that I’m not a bad person if there are still toys on the floor. Choose to take a deep breath when you have a moment of peace. If you have some more moments then do something for yourself even if it is just to make a cup of tea and stare at traffic lol.

Every summer for the past few years @travelarthenna & I have spent an afternoon together while I watch this henna mastery unfold. It’s an intoxicating experience-complete with the calming herbal smelling paste that I cannot get enough of.
